Farm Shop with Front Removed, more info: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g2mwem
After completing the Farm Shop Re-Design in 2020 we needed to protect it from the winter weather: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g2mwem
We originally protected it using the old awning/tarpaulin. This, however, not only proved to be inadequate protection but also made storage access during the winter next to impossible and the tarpaulin deteriorated rapidly over the winter.
In 2021 I came up with the concept of a removable front for the farm shop that would fully close up the shop & could be lifted into or out of place by a tractor so that the farm shop could be opened up for the hot summer, as well as be protected from the harsh winter weather.
Structure wise it had to be strong but light enough to be lifted in and out of place at least twice a year, with also allowing for quick and easy access for storage when required. This resulted in three panels, two for the main farm shop area with doorways through to each main storage area, and a third panel to protect the picking trays. The roof of the farm shop also had to be extended a little to cover the front so rainwater couldn't leak down behind and to cover the new tray store.
